Wall mounted 9 Volt battery box connect to existing ceiling mounted smoke detector
by Frank McBride
(Perryville, MD US)
I have a patent on this idea and have used a prototype for a few years.
My Mother who passed away this January at 89, and lived by herself for the past 8 years.
One of the most annoying things to her was the beeping of the smoke detector when the 9 volt battery got low.
There was not always someone around to change it.
Therefore, it may have been a day or two before someone would get there to perform the awarded task of climbing on a chair/or ladder that you transported over to change it.
Now after installing a Faux battery with attached wire the actual 9 volt battery now can be located with easy access on the wall.
Designed with the elderly and physically challenged in mind.
A HELPING SOLUTION - NO TOOLS REQUIRED Just a common pair of household (scissors) to install!
THE LAST TIME YOU WILL CLIMB TO DO THIS CLUMSY AND PERHAPS DANGEROUS EXCHANGE!!!!!!!!!
OK,
The question is do you thing this is a usable product to help save a life?
