Sore from sitting all day - anything that will help elderly?

Do you know of any aid that prevents the backside getting sore from sitting permanently.

My mother in law is too old and frail to walk and is not really able to stand unaided.

Is there anything on the market that will give her enough support to stand for a while and take the pressure of her backside?
