Sock aid for my father who wears compression stockings

Hello-

My father's physician recommended compression stockings for him to wear. He has been doing well with them until now.

He is almost 90 and it is getting harder for him to put them on. He tried my mother's sock aid but it is too flimsy to use on a compression stocking.

Is there anything out there to help him or perhaps a homemade device would be best using a thicker material of some kind.

Any suggestions would be helpful
