Remote Monitoring for Seniors

Hello,

I'm looking for a system to monitor my elderly mother from a distance. She lives by herself and wants to continue doing so.

She does not want a camera, so I am looking for an audio-only system. Ideally it will allow me and my siblings (who all live in different parts of the world) to hear what is going on in her house, 24/7, without any activation on her part.

It should also have speakers, so that we can talk to her if we want.

Does such a system exist?

It would seem it should but I haven't found one yet in googling.
