Income for family caring for their elderly parents?

I have my father living with me.

He is 92 years old and recently has had a couple of falls at home.

He has also started leaving taps running and lights on and last week left a pan on the cooker and forgot it was on and it set on fire while I was out at the moment.

I am off work on ssp and am worried what will happen when I return.

Are there careers allowance for someone who is elderly but not sick?
