Getting from wheelchair to toilet

My elderly father needs a way to go from a wheelchair to the toilet.

There are a few options:

1) If he can stand up and move his feet:

- toilet safety frame and raised toilet seat
- grab bar
- commode over toilet
- floor to ceiling transfer pole

2) If he cannot stand

- sliding board transfer
- portable lift (needs someone to assist)
- transfer device such as a Sara Stedy (needs someone to assist)

3) Other options are transferring to a wheeled commode and rolling over top of the toilet.
