Elderly with an Itchy scalp

Has anyone's elderly experienced an itchy scalp when a variety of doctors have ruled out everything obvious?

A skin biopsy showed nothing unusual, ph balance is normal, all hair products changed to natural.

Could be damaged nerve endings but neurologist cannot say for sure.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
